Jonathon T is a highly accomplished senior leader with over 25 years of experience in the public sector, specialising in violence reduction, community safety and transformational change. Having worked across four London boroughs at Director-equivalent level, he has led major strategic programmes designed to protect communities and strengthen public services. As former Head of Community Safety in Southwark for a decade, he oversaw strategic commissioning and multi-agency safety initiatives, while also chairing the London Heads of Community Safety Group. Most recently, he led the development of the Warwickshire Violence Prevention Strategy, creating long-term preventative frameworks in partnership with statutory authorities and community organisations.
Deeply committed to supporting young people, families and vulnerable communities, Jonathon has developed pioneering programmes to prevent gang violence and guide individuals away from gang-affected lifestyles. He has advised the Home Office, contributed to the national Ending Gang and Youth Violence Report (2011), and served on the Government’s national Ending Gang and Youth Violence Team. Author of To Die Another Day and the powerful book Silent Voices, his work has had real grassroots impact with youth clubs adapting his book into a theatre production for their local community, bringing its message to life and sparking vital conversations.
